Situation: Alarm Clock

“Yuki?”

“Yeah, Shea?”

“There’s something I’ve wanted to tell you for a long time.”

“Yes, what is it?”

“Yuki, I…”

WAKE UP! WAKE UP! TIME FOR SCHOOL! TIME FOR SCHOOL!

Yuki’s P.O.V.

I groaned. That stupid alarm clock woke me up right in the middle of the best possible dream I’ve ever had.

I sat up and looked around at the bedroom that Aria and I shared. My side had various things from my old home, a divider so that I can get dressed in privacy, and a dragon painted on my wall. Aria’s side was flashier than mine.

Then I glanced at my small nightstand with two alarm clocks on it. One was seriously beaten up while the other was state of the art. I took the old one and chucked it at the far wall, while I gently turned off the new one. Then I stood up out of my bed and stretched.

Aria then sat up. “What was that loud obnoxious bang?”

“The alarm clock.” I answered, continuing my stretch routine.

Aria glanced at the broken clock. “Wow, you did a number on it this time. Apparently you were having that dream again. How far did it go this time?”

“To where Shea was about to tell me something really important, maybe he was going to tell me how he feels. Just like yesterday…” I answered, finishing off my stretching.

Aria grabbed her pills and water bottle off the dresser and quickly shoved the pills down her throat. Then she took a quick swallow from her water bottle and sat on the edge of her bed. “Speaking of yesterday, how did it go?”

I walked towards my mirror and analyzed myself. My long black hair was messed up and my cotton pajamas were worn slightly to the side. I grabbed my brush and started brushing my hair. “Well…” I started but trailed off as I remembered Shea’s promise to me.

“Seems like it went well.” Aria said, smiling at me.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked, putting my hair into an Asian bun up do, while letting half of my hair down.

“Well you would usually put your hair up into those fancy pig tails, but today, you doing it differently, so tell me everything that happened.” Aria answered.

I smiled. “Well he promised to show me the sky, and well he started to tell me something when…well he kissed me.”  I blushed as the memory of that suddenly filled my head.

Aria gasped. “No freaking way! Shea kissed you, then that means…it’s the end of civilization as we know it!”

I laughed. “Aria, please, Shea kissing me doesn’t mean the end of civilization.”

Aria smiled. “Yeah your right. Did you enjoy it?”

I blushed and looked away with a small smile on my face as I went to closet to pick out the school uniform I had to wear. “Well…”

She gasped again and jumped off her bed. “You did, so it seems like the princess enjoyed her evening with Prince Charming, which proves you like him!”

My blush on my face turned to deeper blush as turned around. “He is not Prince Charming okay, he hates being called that, and besides I’m not really a princess.”

“I bet you that’s not Shea thinks about you.” Aria said, smiling at me. “But let’s go back to your evening, were you surprised by it?”

“Yeah but so was Shea, thanks to Luca pushing Shea into me.” I answered, grabbing my uniform and heading for my divider to change.

Here in New York, the Barons make all the girls wear school uniforms like you would see in anime: short sleeve button up white sleeve t shirts, plaid mini skirts, and knee high socks with converse. But I have an inverse of that. My uniform is a black short sleeve button up shirt with a white tie and a black belt and a red and black plaid mini skirt, then its white knee high socks and white and pink low rise converse.

Aria wears the classic uniform with the obvious French flares to it.
Aria grabbed her uniform and started changing as well. “That would obviously make sense, now I need to literally kick Luca’s ass now.”

I finished changing and so did Aria. “Do you think that Shea likes me? I mean I get the feeling that he does but I’m not sure if it’s a crush type of affection or if its real love.”

“Well I’ll tell you a secret: Shea has liked you for about nine years, ever since you found him in the alleyway, so with that in mind I would have to think that his feelings would be more serious than just a crush that most guys have for you. Speaking of which, how many guys do you think are going to ask you out today?” Aria said, analyzing herself in the mirror.

“Hopefully less than 30, I mean I don’t know how many times I have to tell them no. I already have someone special.” I answered.

“That guy would be Shea, correct? Oh man if all the guys found out that he was the thief that stole you heart would they be jealous, including Cyrus.” Aria said.

I shuddered at her mentioning Cyrus’ name. “Please don’t talk about him; he’s the only one that scares me.”

“Girl, I know how you feel, he scares everyone. Good thing Shea isn’t, otherwise I don’t know who would stand up to him then.” Aria said. “And don’t mention that Luca would, he’s a pacifist and wouldn’t do a thing.”

“Yeah that’s true.  Lets talk about your relationship now: are you and Luca close to taking the next step, I mean as officially boyfriend and girlfriend and not as just plain friends?” I asked, sitting on my bed.

“Just about, I plan on making my move tomorrow. What time is it?” Aria answered.

I looked at my clock at was on my nightstand. “its 7:47. Why, oh now I get it.”

We both sighed and counted down. “5, 4, 3, 2, 1….”

Then we heard screams coming from the guys’ wing and a very loud thump that made our room shake and our furniture again like every other day bounced into the air with us going up in the air as well. Everything then landed at its original places and we sighed.

“Looks like the boys are awake now.” Aria said.

I nodded. “Let’s go downstairs and wait for them to stop fighting.”

With that we headed out of the room, just as Felix bumped into us.

I kneeled down to him as he started crying. “What’s wrong, Felix?”

Felix sniffed and wiped his tears away on his sleeve. “Well Marlowe hit me on the head and Shea and Luca aren’t there to make them stop.”
“Well where are they?” I asked, now worried.

“I don’t know, they were already gone when we woke up.” Felix answered.

I was now moderately worried and it was showing on my face as Aria stepped in. “Well I’m sure they’ll be back here soon. Now tell those idiots to stop fighting or I’ll tell Nana.”

Felix nodded and went back into the room, as we quickly went down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“Wonder were those two disappeared to?” Aria pondered as we entered the kitchen.

“Hopefully they come back.” I said.

The after a few minutes everyone else came down and Marlowe and Harry fought over breakfast while Nana stayed in her room, which was very unusual.

I was still worried about Shea and Luca as they hadn’t appeared yet.

Then…

“Hello beautiful!” A guy yelled out, hugging me from behind, surprising me.

I yelped and struggled against the stranger when another guy came up wearing a long sleeve black button up shirt and a white fedora with black strips on it.

“I think she doesn’t recognize you Shea.” The other man said, taking the fedora off his head, revealing himself to be Luca.

Shea laughed and let me go. “Sorry about that Yuki, I just wanted to surprise you.” He said.

I gasped as I stared at him. “Shea you’re wearing a school uniform!”

Guys here in New York have the choice to wear a school uniform which consist of wearing a jacket (denim or leather though the jacket is optional) a shirt with a tie, jeans, and shoes. As you can tell guys are given more freedom than us girls.

Shea wore a denim jacket with an off white colored shirt with a back fleur de leis icon off to the side in the center underneath. Of course he wore ripped jeans and black converse. The only things that threw me off were the pink tie he was loosely wearing and the back fedora with white pin stripes on it.

“Were did you guys get the fedoras?” Aria asked them.

“Oh when we went to go get breakfast some hat store guy pronounced that it was free fedora day and gave us these cool hats.” Shea answered. “By the way what’s a fedora?”

Luca face palmed at Shea’s question.
